Teaching English in Buenos Aires? An insight into Jobs in Buenos Aires.

If you are teaching or planning to teach English in Buenos Aires, you have a few different teaching positions to choose from. Depending on your teaching style, schedule, and education, here are some of the teaching positions available to you:
Private Classes:
Private classes are popular in Buenos Aires and a great way to reap all the financial benefits. Private classes do take a personal initiative, in the sense that you must find your own clients, plenty of lesson planning, and a fair amount of organization in order to create an orderly schedule of students. You are you own boss, and therefore must manage the entire process, a big job but worth the hard work.
Company Classes:
Companies in Buenos Aires hire English teachers to teach their employees English; this position includes traveling to the company to give the lessons, usually once or twice a week. All the planning is done for you and clients are often dependable and consistent, the company usually takes 50% of the profits from the total class cost.
Institute/School:
This position is usually only for TEFL teachers that also have either a teaching degree or bachelor’s degree in a subject that could somehow relate to teaching. You schedule is fixed, lesson materials provided, and you have a reliable and consistent clientele. The pay is fairly good, often set up on monthly salary basis.
Each of these options has their pro’s and con’s and each should be considered based on your teaching style or preference (one-on-one, group), schedule (fulltime, part-time), and education (bachelor’s degree, high school).
