Tips on How to Accept and Reject TEFL Job Offers in Buenos Aires

So you have your TEFL certificate and are ready to start teaching.
You have gone through making of the CV/resume, the sending of the CV/resume, the interviewing process, the follow-up interview process, and now you are sent a job offer…
What do you do? Take it or leave it?
Well that decision is entirely up to you, but there are some ways to correctly accept or reject a TEFL offer.
Here are some tips on how to ACCEPT and REJECT.
Accept
If you are interested in the position, you can either accept the TEFL job on the terms the employer has given you, thereby writing a pleasant thank you letter stating your appreciation for the opportunity and your excitement about the job, or you can negotiate the terms the employer has given you, still accepting the position but clarifying the terms.
In the case that your future employer calls you and you want to clarify or negotiate terms, offer your thanks and your interest in the job and then ask the employer if it would be possible to send them a few questions regarding the details of the job. Tell them you will do it immediately, and you can either discuss the responses over the phone or over email. After every job interview you have, you should note down what you want from that job if by chance the interviewer offers you a job ~ this way you are always prepared.
If you choose to clarify the terms, be sure to still thank your future employer and express your excitement and dedication to the position. Once you have done that, very clearly and concisely, state your questions or terms below. Do not go into great details, do not write an essay, simply state your terms clearly and wrap up the email in a way to introduce the following time you will converse. Depending on how you are contact, by phone or email, you may have to improvise a bit.
Reject
If you decide to reject a job offer, you should still reply to the offer as it is not polite to not reply. Simply thank the person offering you the position for their time and the opportunity but state the job is just not suitable for you in the moment. Be short and clear, and wrap it up with a kind word.
