Using Internet Resources to Teach English in Buenos Aires

One of man’s ‘new’ best friends is the internet, a tool that has become so advanced in the recent years that you can actually see advancement occurring everyday now, placing every source of information we could imagine at our fingertips and making the world seem like a very small place.

The internet can be used for absolutely anything, including being the ultimate resource of teaching tools for TEFL teachers in Buenos Aires and around the world.  There are thousands of easily accessible and totally free public websites that offer teachers every sort of information they could ever possible need, and all they have to do is have the desire to find it.

Some of the most obvious search engines are Google and Yahoo and either of these will bring up millions of results with almost any words you use to search.  Internet junkies will say that the first three pages of search engine results will be the best and the sites that will have what you are looking for, so do not spend too much time searching endlessly through sites with the first search you made. Always try various searches, changing up the words you are using to find the information you want, and finding out what are the best ‘keywords’ to find your information.

  • TEFL activities
  • TEFL lesson plans
  • Teach English as a Foreign Language to children

When you find worksheets, activities, games, etc, on the internet, find out the best way to have them printed and use them in your classes. This is a cost effective way to make great lessons plans for your students and reuse what you find over and over again.
