Take your TEFL classes to this year’s Rural Exhibition!

The Rural Exhibition is back in Buenos Aires for the 123rd time in a row! This informative exhibition is one of the highlights during the year in Buenos Aires, where rural exhibitors come from all over the country to put on display their products, everything from farm machinery, to leathers, to farm animals. This is a great ‘excursion’ to take your students to, talking about the exhibit in English and teaching them new English vocabulary.
This year, this more than a century old exhibit will feature more than 600 exhibitors who will display products and offer information about laboratories, automotive industries, farm machinery, leather goods, and other information regarding the agricultural industry. There is also exhibition dedicated solely to the food and agriculture industry in Argentina. There are also plenty of activities to enjoy such farm animal exhibitions, cattle and horse auctions, cattle competitions, horse competitions, costume contests, and more, plus a great variety of food and souvenirs to buy.
Agriculture is the base for Argentina’s economy and a huge part of the culture and traditions found here. Agriculture has been apparent here for centuries, thanks to the country’s large amount of farmable land, and continues to be part of many people lives here, providing approximately 7% of all employment in the country. Due to the strong agricultural influence, this exhibit brings in people from all over the province and the country to spend a few days visiting the exhibition, buying and selling products, enjoying family activities, and splurging on some of the delicious food and fun souvenirs!
