Teaching TEFL in Buenos Aires? Take a few nights off and enjoy a cinematic trip to some of the most beautiful natural spots in the world with some of the most adventurist sports men and women around.

This September, Buenos Aires will be featuring the annual Banff Film Festival, a festival that travels throughout the world and has made a stop in Buenos Aires since its first feature in 2001.

The Banff Film Festival originated in 1976 in the small mountain town of Banff, located in Alberta, Canada, when a group of adventurists came together to watch extreme sport films and enjoy the beauty of nature found around the world.  These films began to gain popularity in Canada and several years later, the very small festival became the film festival it is today, deputing extreme nature and sports films around the world. The content in these films is taken from various countries around the globe, particularly some eastern European countries such as Germany and Norway, as well as the United States and Canada.

This year, the festival will feature 13 movies over 3 days, presenting various films shot around the world, finishing on the third day with films directed by Argentines to celebrate Argentina’s National Festival of Adventure and Nature Cinema. If you are any sort of sports enthusiast or just love nature, this film festival is a must-see in Buenos Aires.
